When at the driving range, it’s important that you focus on every shot, and not just mindlessly pound ball after ball. The field goals game is a great way to maintain your focus. Here’s how you play:

  1. Pick a landing area 60 feet wide (the length of a fairway)
  2. See how many balls out of 10 you can land inside the field goal posts you’ve created
  3. Work to beat your personal best

Use a variety of clubs, starting with your wedges, eventually working down to you mid-irons. Everytime you club-up, make the field goal area just a little bit wider. The goal of this game is to improve focus, accuracy and distance control.
